This is FINALLY the week of demo for the kids bathroom so that means I better get crackin on some lighting choices.
I originally picked out the Illumine 1 Light Outdoor Lantern Antique Bronze Finish...
Then my husband found some he really liked. We went ahead and made the purchase, but I am still thinking the bathroom needs the brown lighting. Since the electrician arrives on Thursday, I may just pick up the brown ones too, so I can decide in person. It will help my decision once I see the cabinet when it is painted navy blue so hopefully that will get completed before Thursday.
These are the ones that we purchased that my husband likes...
This is the Portfolio Ellicott Galvanized Outdoor wall Light
Either one will work great in the space, it really just comes down to what feel we want the space to have. The bronze gives it a bit more nautical feel and the silver galvanized finish gives it a lighter coastal vibe. Hmmm. Decisions.
Jumping ship to the lighting for the mudroom, I really like this Allen and Roth W Edison Style Pendant Light from Lowes...
I love the idea of this light with the Edison bulb as the centerpiece for the mudroom!
Last week was supposed to start bathroom demo, but due to one rather sick little boy at our house who had the flu, we decided to hold up till this week.
On the agenda for tomorrow:
- Scrape up linoleum flooring
- Lay tile
- Frame out mirror
On the agenda for Wednesday:
- Finish whatever we didn't finish Tuesday ;-)
- Paint cabinet navy blue.
- Grout the tile.
On the agenda for Thursday:
- Electrician to install recessed lighting in the kids shower area and install the overhead lighting in the bathroom.
- Put up board and batten and trim.
I love when projects get completed and you can move on to the next thing, so stay tuned cause I can't wait to share the progression of the project and several new design boards in the coming weeks!
